A British man hunted down his wife's alleged rapist on Facebook then beat him up before convincing her to report the alleged crime, according to the Telegraph.

The man apparently used Facebook to speak to friends and find 27-year-old grocer Andrew Marsh, who allegedly raped his wife in 2001 when she was a schoolgirl. He then said he was organizing a surprise party for his wife to get in touch, the Telegraph reports, then went to Marsh's home and beat him up.
The alleged victim, whose name has not been revealed, told Maidstone County Court that the husband presented her with a choice after beating up the alleged rapist.

"He told me I had to call the police otherwise he would be prosecuted for assault," she said, according to the Telegraph.
Marsh has denied the rape charge and the trial is reportedly still underway.
While the alleged victim's husband used Facebook to seek justice for an apparent crime, an American football player recently used the social network to defeat a false rape conviction.
Brian Banks was a hot linebacker prospect as a Long Beach high school player, recruited by elite college programs around the nation. His career was derailed before it really began, however, when a classmate accused him of raping her in a school stairwell in 2002. Banks insisted he was innocent, but eventually took a plea deal rather than risk a possible prison sentence of more than 40 years.
Years later his accuser send him a friend request on Facebook, and said she wanted to "let bygones be bygones." Banks set up a meeting at an attorney's office, then secretly videotaped it as the women confessed that she had made up the charge. The conviction was then overturned, and Banks got an NFL tryout this summer.
